Misc Items
Miscellaneous memorabilia and collectibles generally comprise an assortment of film and / or music memorabilia which cannot readily be categorised elsewhere and which will appeal to collectors for its often unusual nature.
Values of such collectibles are very much dependent on the featured artists, whilst autographs always enhance the value of any item. Authentication is a vital factor in the compilation of a set of signed film / music memorabilia and collectibles. Third-party authenticating services are available, but the best advice is to research any prospective purchase and buy from a reputable vendor.
The current range of film collectibles includes an autographed DVD of the 2004, Matthew Vaughn directed, British gangster thriller, "Layer Cake," personally signed by star Daniel Craig. Having risen to fame with his portrayal of James Bond in "Casino Royal," Craig has attracted quite a following and this rare, hand signed item, which comes complete with a Certificate of Authenticity seems sure to prove popular. It is very attractively priced, too, with similar items retailing at up to three times as much from other sources.
For horror movie fans a copy of the complete comic book, "Brinke Of Eternity," featuring and hand signed by "Scream Queen" Brinke Stevens, seems a good choice. Her career as a "B" movie horror actress commenced with a role as a Black Sabbath member in 1972 release "Necromancy" and has spanned several decades and many films.
Music memorabilia items include an uncommon 10" drumhead, hand signed by Sir Elton John. Complete with a Certificate of Authenticity, this item looks a bargain, with autographs alone retailing at far higher prices elsewhere.
Fans of the Rolling Stones cannot fail to be impressed by a "gigantic" display trading card sheet. Containing forty-nine consecutively numbered cards, album covers, posters and typical Stones' "tongue" art, it measures 28" x 19" and is completed by a 32" x 24" plexiglass-covered, gold aluminium frame with mount.
