Music
The items in the general "Music" category typically comprise an eclectic assortment of music collectibles, including signed photographs (both colour and black and white; some framed), books, magazines and a small selection of large photo / CD displays. These fascinating items of music memorabilia are popular and collectible as they form interesting, attractive displays and make excellent conversation pieces amongst music enthusiasts.
The pricing of signed music memorabilia is fundamentally dependent on demand and rarity, with unusual items often commanding high prices. In the case of several contemporary artists, increased security precautions make autographs difficult to obtain, resulting in a significant increase in value. Poor condition makes items virtually worthless and caution is advised, the best advice being to purchase from recognised, specialist vendors.
Amongst the range of music collectibles on offer, Sting's autograph is relatively rare and a signed 10" x 8" photograph of the artist looks a bargain. A similar photograph of veteran, iconic US country star, Willie Nelson seems likely to attract plenty of interest, especially given its competitive price. One slightly unusual item is a signed photograph of Julio Iglesias, in which it appears he has a clearly visible tear in the right shoulder of his dinner jacket.
Music memorabilia associated with US R&B singer, Beyoncé Knowles, rates highly amongst contemporary music collectibles and two signed photographs of the artist as "Foxxy Cleopatra," from the 3rd Austin Powers' film, "Austin Powers in Goldmember," in which she parodied Bond girl Rosie Carver from "Live and Let Die," seem sure to appeal to fans. A unique, "gigantic" display item featuring The Jam's 1978 hit album "All Mod Cons," with the CD cover signed by the band, including the very collectible Paul Weller and four 10" x 8" photographs, mounted in a 32" x 24" gold, aluminium, plexiglass-fronted frame seems a likely hit with devotees.
All items are supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity, with some also having full signing details.
