T-Shirts
Collectible T shirts generally comprise designs relating to the music industry (rock bands in particular), although there are a smaller number associated with the TV and film industries. T shirts appeal greatly to collectors, as collecting them can be akin to assembling an art collection. The difference with these collectibles is that they can be worn, creating a fashion statement as well as a collection.
The T shirts forming any collection are very much a matter of personal preference. Some collectors focus on a specific group of bands or a musical genre, whilst others make seek to assemble an assortment of collectibles spanning a wide spectrum of bands and artists.
The value of these collectibles is very much dependent on the quality of the materials from which the garments are constructed, the featured bands and / or artist(s) and the number in circulation. A rare T shirt, of high-quality and in good condition will fetch a significantly higher price than a more commonly available, lower-quality garment.
