Vintage
Vintage collectibles encompass a vast range of items. TV and film related examples include signed photographs, film posters, film cells, postcards, collectors' toys, movie props and costumes, along with books and magazines. Vintage music memorabilia incorporates various autographed collectibles, records, lyric sheets and scores, newspapers and magazines.
As with most other collectible items, values are very much dependent on the rarity of the piece in question, the popularity of the featured artist(s) and condition. Items in mint or very good condition will inevitably attract high prices. Creases, marks, fading or any other form of damage will detract substantially from the value of any vintage piece.
This range of vintage pieces comprises a selection of 10" x 8" signed photographs, each supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity. Collectibles include a signed photo of Ruth Hussey, the American actress best known for her Oscar nominated role as photographer Elizabeth Imbrie in "The Philadelphia Story," whilst horror fans may like a Kenny Miller signed photo from "I Was a Teenage Werewolf."
Also amongst these vintage collectibles is an autographed photograph of Bradford Dillman, the US actor who appeared in many films and TV shows throughout a lengthy career, spanning several decades. These include the Cannes award-winning "Compulsion," (1959), a starring role in "Francis of Assisi" (1961) and "Lords of the Deep" (1989). His most memorable TV role was in an episode of "The Incredible Hulk," as a hunter attempting to kill David Banner, in 1979.
Particularly desirable (reflected in the price) vintage collectibles are signed photographs of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers dancing together and Sarah Bernhardt, star of the French stage and screen in the early 20th century. Others include a vintage Humphrey Bogart autograph and a cheque signed by Erroll Flynn, for hotel repairs. From the world of music, a Frank Sinatra "The Voice" LP, signed by himself, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. is one of the most highly sought pieces and priced accordingly.
