New Jersey hard rock band, Bon Jovi, have enjoyed great commercial success, with worldwide album sales of over 120 million since 1982. The "B" sub-category contains 2 different displays incorporating their 1992 release, "Keep the Faith." The album topped the UK Albums Charts and reached no. 5 in the US Billboard 200, achieving platinum and dual-platinum status, respectively. Worldwide sales have exceeded 12 million copies.

Other noteworthy gold discs include "By Request," a 1999 release from Irish "boy" band, Boyzone, who had sold in the region of 20 million albums worldwide by 2009. "By Request" topped the UK Albums Charts, reached no.1 in Ireland and New Zealand and made the top 5 in Australia, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland. Any signed gold records featuring the signature of Stephen Gately, who died of pulmonary oedema, in Majorca, in October 2009, are extremely collectible and sure to be much sought after by aficionados.

Icelandic singer-songwriter Björk is renowned for her eclectic assortment of musical styles, influenced by elements of alternative rock, classical, folk and jazz music. Amongst the signed gold records in this sub-category, her 1993 studio album, "Debut," seems likely to prove popular with collectors. On its initial release, "Debut" attained the no. 1 spot in the US Top Heatseekers chart and reached no. 61 in the Billboard 200. By the end of August 2001, the Recording Industry Association of America certified that the album had achieved sales in excess of 1 million copies and awarded it platinum certification. "Debut" entered the UK Album Charts in July 1993, enjoying a stay of some 69 weeks, its highest position being at no. 3.
