Gold Discs, Records Limited Edition

Gold Discs, Records Limited Edition - Letter K

Limited to an issue of just 50 per display, these gold discs and gold records displays are very collectible and seem sure to prove popular with music buffs.

Amongst the displays on offer, are gold records by unconventional, British, alternative rock band, Keane - who prefer the piano to the guitar as lead instrument. This, in particular, is very likely to be in demand. The band experienced mainstream success with the May 2004 release of their debut album, 'Hopes and Fears.' The album entered the UK Album Charts at no. 1 and went on to become the second best-selling British album of the year. It has subsequently been awarded 9x platinum certification by the BPI (British Phonographic Industry).

Their second album, 'Under the Iron Sea,' a 2006 release, went straight to no.1 in the UK Albums Charts, having sold 200,000 copies in its first week. It reached no. 4 in the US Billboard 200. By the beginning of 2010, the album boasted over 2½ million in worldwide sales and had been awarded dual platinum status by the BPI. In 2008, the album was ranked at no. 8 in the 'Q' magazine readers' poll of the 'Best British Albums Ever.'

Keane's follow-up album, 2008 release - 'Perfect Symmetry,' was successful, topping the UK Albums Charts, reaching no. 7 in the Billboard 200 and achieving platinum certification from the BPI.

Other gold discs and gold records likely include Kaiser Chief's 'Employment.' Their debut album, released in 2005, took inspiration from the New Wave and punk music of the 1970s. Critically acclaimed and a worldwide success, the album reached no. 2 in the UK and received 5x platinum certification from the BPI.

Also likely to prove popular is 'Empire,' the second album by award-winning British indie rock band, Kasabian; which went straight to no. 1 in the UK Albums Charts on its July 2006 release.
