ZZ Top is an American blues rock group that formed in Houston, Texas in 1969. They comprise of band members Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard - together they have been ranked as one of VH1's Greatest Artists of Hard Rock. They have worked as a band for over four decades, conjuring up popular albums such as Rio Grande Mud, Eliminator and Recycler. ZZ Top have embarked on numerous tours, including the Worldwide Texas Tour (1976-7), the Eliminator Tour (1983-4) and the European Tour (2002). On April 29th 2010 they commenced their famous World Tour.
Zero 7 are a Grammy-nominated British duo known for their down-tempo musical style. They comprise of members Sia Furler, Mozes, José González, Sophie Barker and Tina Dico. After their fourth studio album, their guest vocalist line up included Martha Tilston, Eska Mtungwazi and Rowdy Superstar. Before joining Zero 7, Hardaker and Binns started their career in the music industry, engineering hits for Robert Plant, the Pet Shop Boys and the Young Disciples.
In 2001 they released the album Simple Things, which was nominated for a number of awards, including the prestigious Mercury Music Prize. They were also awarded the title 'Best Newcomer' at the Musik Awards. In 2002 the duo released a DJ mix album that embraced a number of chill out and hip-hop acts, including a cover of 'Truth & Rights,' which was originally penned by Johnny Osbourne. Other studio albums released by Zero 7 include When It Falls (2002), The Garden (2004) and Yeah Ghost (2009).
