A framed montage of movie photos makes an impressive addition to any collection of movie memorabilia, either alone or alongside similar items. These montages are made up of licensed photos from the film, cast details and quotes from the film. Completed by a 40cm x 50cm plexiglass covered frame, they are particularly eye catching.
Fans of science fiction and horror movie memorabilia are likely to be attracted to this range of montages, as these genres are particularly well represented. Offerings include "War of the Worlds," Barré Lyndon's 1953 adaptation of H.G. Wells' novel, starring Gene Barry and Ann Robinson, which won an Oscar for its special effects. The original "Dr. Who and the Daleks," from 1965, with Peter Cushing and Roy Castle attempting to avoid "extermination" is also featured. More recent offerings include the 1982 "Blade Runner," starring Harrison Ford as Rick Deckard and Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Cyborg assassin in the 1984 hit, "Terminator." Horror movie memorabilia fans are sure to be delighted with the montage of William Friedkin's 1973 adaptation of William Peter Blatty's "The Exorcist," featuring the demonic possession of Regan MacNeil (Linda Blair).
Collectors of movie photos and memorabilia from other genres should not be disappointed, however. The montage range includes plenty of adventure/ drama choices, including 1959 Roman epic, "Ben Hur," starring Charlton Heston and Steve McQueen as "The Cooler King" in "The Great Escape." Clint Eastwood makes an appearance as "Dirty Harry" Callahan, while Mel Gibson fans are likely to be pleased by movie photos from "Braveheart" and action comedy "Lethal Weapon."
Music is not overlooked either, with photos from the 1978 musical "Grease," starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, along with Travolta's previous music-based "Saturday Night Fever."
Other inclusions in the range are "Easy Rider," the 1969 tale of Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper as drug dealing bikers and "Raging Bull," a biopic of boxer Jake LaMotta, portrayed by Robert de Niro.
