English singer-songwriter, Paul Weller, from Woking, Surrey, established himself as a thriving solo artist in 1991, following successful spells with "The Jam" and "The Style Council." He has remained very much a "national" star, with many of his lyrics reflecting British society. The "P" sub-category of gold discs and signed gold records include 2 displays featuring Weller's 2005 album, "As is Now," which peaked at no. 4 in the UK album charts and spawned 3 successful singles. Sure to be popular with devotees is the spectacular, enormous display featuring a CD gold disc of the album, accompanied by four 10" x 8" photographs of Weller, each personally hand signed by the artist. A little less expensive, but no less impressive, is the striking substantial display featuring a CD gold disc with a single hand signed photograph of Weller.

Californian pop / R&B girl group, The Pussycat Dolls, were founded by choreographer Robin Antin in 1995, as a burlesque troupe. Musical success was immediate, with their 2005 debut album, "PCD," becoming a huge international success. It featured a fusion of contemporary pop / dance / R&B originals, jazz-influenced tracks and cover versions. The album reached no. 5 in the US Billboard 200 and no. 7 in the UK Album Charts, achieving platinum and 3x platinum certification respectively. It also reached the top 10 of the Album Charts of a further 15 countries.

American singer-songwriter Paul Simon embarked on a successful solo career in 1970, following the spilt with musical partner Art Garfunkel. "One Trick Pony," was released in 1980, concurrently with a film of the same name, in which Simon starred. The album reached no. 12 in the Us and no. 17 in the UK.
