Amongst the gold records displays on offer in the 'P' sub-category, is Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon,' which will be a huge hit with collectors. Generally considered one of the greatest rock albums of all time, the 1973 release topped the US Billboard 200 and reached no. 2 in the UK Album Charts. It achieved 15x platinum status from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and 9x platinum status from the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).

Heavy metal fans may be attracted to displays featuring gold records by Texan band, Pantera; who enjoyed considerable success in the 1980s and 90s, including gaining several gold discs. Their 1990 release, 'Cowboys from Hell' showed a departure from their previous 'glam metal' influences; the band adopted a more extreme style, incorporating 'thrash' and 'groove' metal. The album achieved platinum status in the USA and gold status in the UK. 'Vulgar Display of Power,' released in 1992, was the breakthrough album for Pantera and their unique 'power groove' style. Regularly cited as the band's best work, 'Vulgar Display of Power' achieved dual platinum status in the USA and gold status in the UK. 1994 release, 'Far Beyond Driven' was an immediate commercial success, topping both the US Billboard 200 / Australian ARIA Charts and reaching no. 3 in the UK Albums Charts. It achieved platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and gold certification from the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).

English rock band, the Pretenders, have enjoyed considerable success since their 1978 formation, despite numerous line-up changes - with founder Chrissie Hynde remaining as the sole original member. Memorabilia fans will love the display featuring their successful 1987 compilation album, 'The Singles,' featuring all their hits to that date.
