U2 are a rock group from Dublin, consisting of Bono, The Edge, Lary Mullen and Adam Clayton. By the middle of the 1980s, U2 had become one of the most popular bands in the world and were more successful live than they were at selling their hits, until the arrival of The Joshua Tree - an album which elevated their status to superstardom. The band has released a total of 12 studio albums and are one of the most commercially and critically successful acts in pop music history. They have won an astonishing 22 Grammy Awards and have sold over 150 million records world-wide, they are considered legends of modern music. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005 and were listed as one of the '100 Greatest Artists of All Time' by Rolling Stone Magazine, at number 22. Outside of music, they have also campaigned extensively for human rights causes such as Product Red and Amnesty International.

Hailing from Birmingham, England, the reggae band UB40 have achieved widespread commercial success in the UK, with an impressive 50 singles reaching the UK Singles Chart. Their success has also been international, with over 70 million records sold globally. Their UK No. 1 hits include 'I Got You Babe', 'Can't Help Falling in Love' and 'I Got You Babe'. Three decades of success have seen UB40 perform at numerous sell-out shows around the world; they were one of the main acts at the Reggae Sunsplash festival which took place in Jamaica. They have also made reggae commercially popular in countries such as Russia and Brazil, one of their key achievements. The band has performed at Night of the Proms twice and their album 'Who You Fighting For' earned them a Grammy nomination in 2006.
