These attractive displays of gold discs, gold records and photographs make superb conversation pieces and are "must have" items for collectors and enthusiasts. The "G" sub-category is likely to expand to include further gold discs, but nonetheless, contains some interesting items, with rock fans particularly well catered for amongst the gold records on offer.

"International Superhits!" is a compilation album of the greatest hits of US rock trio Green Day. Released in late 2001, it contains the band's major singles, along with two previously unreleased tracks. Although not a massive chart success (no. 15 in the UK and no. 40 in the USA), it achieved platinum status in the USA. The album was issued on vinyl for the first time in the USA in August 2009.

"Appetite For Destruction" was the 1987 debut studio album by American hard rock band Guns N' Roses, which reached no. 1 in the US Billboard 200 chart. The album has been certified diamond (10 million+ sales) by the Recording Industry Association of America, accumulating worldwide sales in excess of 33 million and becoming the worldwide, all-time, best-selling debut album. The single "Sweet Child O' Mine" from the album topped the Billboard Hot 100. "Chinese Democracy" was a 2008 release by the same band, their first studio album for 15 years. It entered the US Billboard 200 at no. 3 and was awarded platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America.

"Calling All Stations" is the latest studio album by rock band Genesis. A 1997 release, following the departure of Phil Collins from the band, it peaked at no. 2 in the UK album chart, but remained in the charts for a mere 6 weeks. However, the album has achieved worldwide sales in excess of 3 million.
